Welcome to Day 7 of our Adventcalendar on the blog! Thank you for checking us out!
Today it’s about the small bag you can spot in the left corner in the picture. You could also hang it on the tree (my tree is too small to do that) or use it as a giftbag. It’s also easily adjustable to make it even smaller or bigger! If you want to knit the little hat you could also see in the picture, check out Day 4 for the pattern.

Little Santa’s Bag
Knit in the round in plain stockinette on four 2.5mm (US 2) DPNs. I used a fingering weight cotton yarn with stellina.
Cast on 40 sts (10 sts per DPN).
Knit 10 rounds, change to 5mm (US 8) DPNs for 1 round. That is, where the cord is woven in at the end (if you do not want to weave the cord in and just wrap it around instead, don’t change the needle size).
Knit another 25 rounds
*At the beginning of each DPN: slip one knitwise, knit one and pass the slipped stitch over. At the end of each DPN: knit 2 together. Knit 1 round.
repeat from * another 3 times.
You’ll end up with 2 sts on each DPN. Slip the stitches onto 2 DPNs with 4 sts each and do a 3 needle bind off.
Let us know, if you have any questions. Happy Knitting!
Love, Sarah
