Sometimes you feel like everything you start just flows off your needle and you didn’t actually realise how fast you work and then you are done.
Or you are like me and have a problem with finishing things in general. And then there are times when nothing works out and you feel like you cannot even start anything, or not pick up what you started already.
Probably there are more people out there that have the same problem as I do: all these lovely WIPs hanging around… And I have to say there are a lot of WIPs in my basket (and the other basket, and in that tote and this paper bag, oh and there are some boxes as well)…
When you find a pattern that really gets your attention cause it is constructed very differently to all the others and are intrigued but a bit intimidated, too. What do you do?
My reaction to the Enchanted Mesa from Westknits was stalling and tiptoeing around all the beautiful versions I could find on Instagram. That did not make it easier to start – everybody seemed to have put so much thought in the colours, on the arrangement of them that I felt I never could decide which to use and when to change.
Luckily there came the Mistery Knit along my way which helped me to loose my intimidation (read about that here) and finally I began plotting my own version of the Enchanted Mesa!
As you know the three of us work very differently when it comes to our own designs. Today I want to show you how I start with something new (and as I am the one with the many many WIPs, starting is the easiest thing for me).
I actually don’t think that I am a creative person. I cannot really draw or decorate and my pictures are generally rather OK than inspiring. So why should you be interested in what I have to say on the matter?
