A difficult start
When you find a pattern that really gets your attention cause it is constructed very differently to all the others and are intrigued but a bit intimidated, too. What do you do?
My reaction to the Enchanted Mesa from Westknits was stalling and tiptoeing around all the beautiful versions I could find on Instagram. That did not make it easier to start – everybody seemed to have put so much thought in the colours, on the arrangement of them that I felt I never could decide which to use and when to change.

Last month I took a look inside my wardrobe and decided that it was time to reorganize and declutter a bit – I get this need for cleaning up every now and then.
In this process I stumbled across my wrap I knitted last year with some of my first selfspun yarn and realized that I never told you about what I had done with it!

It’s a jungle of words in the fiber world. So many different yarn types and even more words. Sometimes for the same thing. Does it make a difference depending on where you are on the planet? What does ply mean? Are Worsted and Aran weight yarn the same?
In my mind having tons of WIPs – works in progress – is a sign of a creative mind. At least that is what I am telling myself.
Today I spent an hour frogging some of the WIPs I have been dragging around for years, finally giving up on them. I found things I haven’t seen in a year (last January I shifted through my WIPs for the last time).
